Our Project: Letters to an Ethicist

About the Letters

In a world that often asks us to keep moving faster, louder, more certain, this is a space for pausing. For wondering. For asking the hard questions we carry but rarely speak aloud.

Here, you can send in a letter (anonymously or not) about the dilemmas and wins shaping your life, your community, or your sense of self. From AI to aging, belonging to burnout, politics, religion, societal concerns - this is where the real stuff lives.

Each month, I’ll respond with philosophical insight and radical compassion and understanding. Sometimes I'll invite other thinkers to weigh in too. Together, we’ll look at what it means to be human in today's modern world.

📖 With your consent, your stories will be shared on this website and compiled for a future book, The Truth of Now.

What did you witness, experience, or feel that reminded you of what matters most?

We’re collecting honest, human moments - the glimpses of real life that reveal the truth of who we are and what we’re going through. They might be quiet, powerful, joyful, or unresolved. But they’ll reflect the current moment

If you're unsure where to begin or wish to contribute more of the "good stuff" in life, our monthly reflection challenges can help spark your thoughts. Click the button below to access them.

Submit Your Story
An Open Invitation to Everyone

We’re building a global album of human experience through snapshots of this moment in history, told through stories of everyday lives. These stories will shape a collaborative archive and may become part of an upcoming book or public storytelling project.

I’ll add ethical reflections inspired by your stories. But your voices are the foundation - the truth, the heart, the now - the truth of the times.

📖 With consent of the authors, submissions may appear on this website or in the anticipated book, The Truth of Now.

Tell us:

  • What happened?

  • What did it mean to you?

  • How did it make you feel?

  • Has it shifted how you live, think, or see the world?

  1. Photos without visible faces are encouraged but not required.

  2. Stories should be no less than 200–500 words.

  3. You may submit anonymously or share your name, location, or other details.

When you click below, you’ll find:

  • A welcoming form

  • A basic model release (if others appear in your photo)

  • A space to upload your photo and share your stories

Monthly Reflection Challenges

Every month, we’ll explore a new way to look at the world - a chance to shift perspectives, find joy in the everyday, and create a ripple effect of positive change for ourselves and others.

Use these prompts to help you get started, share your story, and help us reveal truths about the gifts hidden within our complicated world. Or "go rogue" and submit on a topic of your choosing.

Our Collective Scrapbook

Stories will be posted here for you to read weekly. Today, explore the images to preview potential topics to write about. Below you'll find more.

A flower in bloom. A war.

Mourning. Birth. Falling in love.

What breaks your heart, and what makes it whole.

Victories. Losses.

Struggles. Resilience. Moments of light.

Everything human belongs here.

We hope you'll add to our collective story through your own submission.
